My Review

I love this set. I have been using the comb in the shower while i have been applying my conditioner to make sure it is distributed evenly through the hair. My hair gets super dry and knotty and needs a good brush especially after washing. Before getting this brush and comb set i was using my Tangle Teezer when brushing my hair. The brush has the same style of bristles as the Tangle Teezer but it also has a handle. I have found myself using this product over my Tangle Teezer especially when my hair is super knotty as i don't tend to end up accidentally throwing it across the room when i hit a knot like i usually do with the Tangle Teezer. As with all Bella and Bear products the design is beautiful. Really impressed and would definitely recommend.

A Quick Catch Up

Apologies again for being a super rubbish blogger! I have been super busy lately doing my big Christmas clean up (post coming soon) putting up the decorations and finishing up my Christmas shopping.

I have a few posts to get up over the next couple of weeks including my December Glossybox and Birchbox reviews, Two reviews of new products from Bella & Bear and a couple of Christmas related posts too.

I am starting to feel super festive and because i have finished my shopping early for the first time ever i have none of the stress i usually do!

I have been loving watching Vlogmas on YouTube this month. Some of my favorites are,

Hollie Wakeham Hollie is one of the first YouTubers i ever watched and i think shes great. Her videos always put a smile on my face.
Mikhila AKA MissBudgetBeauty I havn't watched Mikhila for long but i really enjoy her videos and Vlogs. Being a young Mam myself i feel i can really relate to her.
FleurDeForce I really enjoy Fleur's videos and have watched her for a long time now. He pooches are super cute :)

I am watching lots more but these are probably my top 3. Please leave any recommendations below as i love watching Vlogs.

Vlogging and YouTube is something i would love to get into at some point but it's something i just keep putting off. Maybe next year.

Christmas Tag

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
The Santa Claus. Hands down. I love all three of them. Infact my eldest has been watching them after school the past couple of nights which has inspired me to do this tag as i now feel all festive! Elf is a firm favourite too!
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning, stockings in bed then straight down the stairs to open main pressies.
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
All my Christmases have been amazing. My favourite memory is probably when i was much younger before my grandparents and other family members passed away and we all used to go to my aunties for Christmas dinner. We are going to my aunties this year for the first time in ages so that will bring back lots of amazing memories!
4. Favourite festive food?
Pigs in Blankets!
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
My Samsung Galaxy tablet last year.
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Yankee Candle Christmas Eve. I love it.
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Yes. While the boys are in the bath 'Santa' sneaks into the house and leaves them some new PJs by the fire. My parents used to do this with me and my brother. Me and the boyfriend always get a chinese too once the kids are in bed before the chaos of playing Santa begins.
8. What tops your tree?
A Star. I have a few different ones and i choose which ever one i feel like using on the day i put the decs up.
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I always asked for Bop It every year....I'm still waiting :(10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?
Seeing the boys faces when they walk down the stairs in the morning and see Santa has been. Nothing quite like it. Magical.

Birchbox November 2014

I am not massively impressed with this months Birchbox. It has products in i like but its nothing too special and nothing majorly different to what we have seen before. The theme for this months Birchbox is Cosy at home. Here is what i received in this months box.

Dr Jart+ Most Moist Water Act Skin Mist. Full Size Product 150ml RRP £18.00

Every subscriber this month is guaranteed a full size Dr Jart+ product. This is one product i am pleased with. I have been looking for something to use as a toner step in my skin care routine and this is perfect. My skin gets super dry in the autumn/winter months so something that is moisturising like this is perfect for me. This could also be given a quick spritz over the face throughout the day for a quick hydration fix for your skin.

Lord And Berry Mini Bronzer. Sample Size. Full Size RRP £19.00

I am a huge fan of Lord And Berry Products. This is a beautiful bronzer and is one i will definitely be purchasing a full size of. This is in the shade Sunny and it is a matte bronzer that is highly pigmented. Bronzer is a must for me during the winter months to add a bit of colour back into my pale face!

Weleda Pomegranate Creamy Body Wash. 20ml Sample Size. Full Size RRP £8.95

I have heard of Weleda before but i cant say it is a brand i have tried in the past. This body wash is loaded with nutrients to clean and moisturise the skin. It has a creamy formula, lathers well and feels nice on the skin. It also smells good too.

Beauty Protector Protect and Treat Hair Mask. 14g Sample Size. Full Size RRP £16.00

Like my skin my hair also suffers badly during the winter months so masks are a must to keep my hair in top condition. I have tried other Beauty Protector products through Birchbox and they have always been a big hit. There Protect and Detangle is one of my favorite hair care products. The mask contains a mixture of argan oil, honey, amber and crushed pearls. Like all the other products i have tried from this brand this smells amazing.

O.P.I Nail Polish Coca-Cola Red. Full Size Product RRP £11.95

I must admit i have never owned a full size O.P.I product. I have had numerous sample size polishes in the past but i have never really got on with them I have always found they applied streaky or just didn't look quite right so i was pleasantly surprised to find i really like this product. The application is great and so is the colour. Perhaps the sample sizes have a different brush or something but i am definitely going to look at trying a few more full size polishes. I don't know about how long it lasts etc but lets face it i'm not the best judge of that as you will know if you have followed me for a while, I'm lucky if i get an evening out of my nail polish!

Lifestyle Extra. Drinkwell Capsules. 6 Capsule Sample Size. Full Size £32.99

I'm not 100% sure what these are supposed to do and the information given with the sample isn't that great. I have took this information from the Birchbox website 'A multivitamin with a difference, drinkwel was created specifically for healthy people who love to have a good time! Here at Birchbox HQ there’s nothing we love more on a Friday night than a cocktail (or two!) before we hit the dance floor so we were intrigued! Packed with antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and a blend of fruit and botanical extracts, these veggie-friendly capsules are loaded with all the good stuff needed to keep you energised throughout the day and to help you recover after a big night out. Bye, bye hangovers!'
I may not be the best judge of this product if i do decide to use it as i don't really suffer from hangovers anyways. May give to a friend to try.

Did you receive anything different in your Birchbox?

Update

Hi guys, hope everyone is well.
Not been any posts from me in a long time, sorry. As you all know i have been on two holidays lately and had very poor internet both times. I would much rather be sunbathing by the pool than sat in reception to use the WiFi!! I actually wore my bikini on holiday!! This is a massive thing for me and i am feeling super super proud of myself. No weight loss lately but i'm getting back to it next week.

Before going on holiday i was suffering from major blogger block. I thought a holiday may give me some ideas but i am still really struggling. What do you guys want to see? Any ideas for me? I am going out on Saturday night so may do a OOTD/FOTD type of post, other than that i am stuck, so i will say sorry now if there is no more posts for a while :(

I am recently just getting into money saving. With Christmas just around the corner and two boys and a big family to buy for its a must. I don't know if money saving is something you would be interested in reading posts about?

Let me know what you all have been up to lately.

Guest Post - Autumn Trends By Jessica

  From the VMA's to the Emmy's to New York Fashion Week, this fall has brought with it a plethora of new make-up and hair style trends, with previous ones we've loved from over the years also making a come back, to truly make this autumn bloom. The red carpets and the runways are great places to get some much needed inspiration as the seasons change and old trends fade into the background. What's great about this season is the fact that we haven't lost the classic, chic trends that have lasted decades and are still stunning every time, plus we've gained some gorgeous new styles to take to the streets. We may not be red carpet regulars, but why not impress those around us at work, school or when we're out and about, and most importantly feel amazing about how we look! Becky has kindly allowed me to share with you the most prominent beauty trends this Autumn, so let's get started;

Smokey Eyes
This seasons red Carpets and runways are littered with smokey eyed gals, and for a good reason. It's stunning! Partnered with a neutral toned foundation and a light pink or nude lip, this look will make you stand from the crowd.

Classic Red Lips
This legendary look is a must-have for any make-up repertoire. It's bold, confident and chic, plus it's everywhere right now. But why wait for it to come into fashion, it's an everlasting look that makes an impact any time of year.

Pure and Neutral
A very paired down, simple make-up palette has been a common feature of the runway shows this season, with a stunning innocence and simplicity. It accentuates your best features and is breathtakingly beautiful.

Sweet Berry pout
Berry blossomed lips are a cute, simple addition to an almost neutral toned look, to add a summery glow. Its quick, easy and utterly adorable.

Nude lips
The infamous nude lip is back in full swing this season and has been used countless times on the runways and red Carpets to emphasise the eyes, or add a strong, passionate hue to the lips that is just gorgeous.

Metallic eyes
A bold yet elegant look right now is not complete without a metallic eye shadow. This season it's all about being futuristic, flirty and fun.

Fluttery Flicks
Giving the eye liner a flick or two takes any look to another level, adding an edgy, unique element to a bold eye.

Hair;

Tasseled Middle parting
Seen all over the Fashion world right now, this seemingly simplistic style adds an effortless chic twist to your look.

Plaits galore
Autumn always seems to invite plaits back into trend and who blames you for joining in? It's neat, intricate and stylish; a versatile hairstyle to use for all occasions.

Choppy Bobs
Another simple, cute look in the form of a short bob has been very popular for fall this year. It's out of the way, fresh and easy to style.

Twist and Pin Up Buns
Buns can be neat, tight and formal, or messy, relaxed and comfortable. Autumn seems to be all about getting you're hair out the way in the nicest form possible, for the chic, serious looks and the nonchalant and effortless.

A prominent theme for Autumn is a love of the chic yet relaxed approach to styling and it couldn't look better. I hope this post has inspired you to change up your make-up and hair styling for the new season or even get hair cut (gasp!). I have certainly been inspired by the beautiful berry lips, red lips and smokey eyes this season; what are your favourite fall beauty trends?

My New Favorite Mascara

I have mentioned my mascara related issues a number of times in the past so I won't bore you with them again. I have found a mascara that is amazing for me.
I have always been a fan of Avon Mascaras and they were some of the first mascaras I tried when my mam was a rep for them during my early teens.
Avon have just launched their new Big and Daring Volume Mascara. I have a friend who is a rep and when she handed me a brochure and I seen that there was a new mascara I had to try it.
I'm pleased I did as it is one of the best mascaras I have used in a while. It has a lovely thick brush which I love and it is slightly curved too. It is a bristle brush which I'm not usually a fan of, I prefer the plastic ones normally. The formula is great too. Not too thick and not too thin.
It has made my eyelashes look amazing. It will definitely be my go to mascara from now on.
Before
After (one coat of mascara, no curlers used)
