My Gym Routine

I want to start off by saying that i am in no way experienced in the gym. I'm not a personal trainer or anything i just enjoy going to the gym. I never used to believe anyone when they told me once you start going to the gym that you will enjoy it and it will become addictive but it's true. I have gone from someone who used to complain about having to walk to the shop to someone who works out 3-4 sometimes even 5 times a week.

As those of you who read my blog will know i am currently dieting and trying to lose weight, so a lot of what i am doing currently is cardio. This is just a basic overview of what my gym routine is and what i do while i am there.

Monday - Day off
Tuesday - 45 minutes of Zumba followed by 15 minutes on the treadmill and some weight training
Wednesday - Half hour Spinning class
Thursday- Day Off
Friday - In the gym
Saturday - Either 45 minutes of Zumba or just in the gym
Sunday - Day off

When i am in the gym my routine goes something like this:

30 minutes on the treadmill
15 minutes on the cross trainer
15 minutes on the rowing machine

I will often change the treadmill and cross trainer over to vary my workout slightly

I will then head onto the weights machines, i usually work on my abs/stomach and arms the most as these are what needs toning the most.

To finish off i usually do 5 - 10 minutes on the Vibroplates

What are your favorite things to do in the gym?

Glossybox July 2014

I'm a bit late with this months Glossybox review but that means I've had time to give the products a try. The theme of the box this month is Stars and Stripes and includes all American brands. I was really impressed with this months box compared to the last few. With 5 full size products this box is really great value for money.

Everyone this month received a Bellapierre Cosmetics Ltd Mineral Lipstick. I got the shade Ruby. This feels super moisturising on the lips and is really highly pigmented. This product costs £20.00. This is only the second product I have tried from Bellapierre but Iam definitely  interested in trying some more from them.
Next up is from a brand called ABSOLUTE New York and is their Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer. This is the only product I haven't tried out properly yet but it seems nice when given a try on my hand. It states that this can be used alone to neutralise any redness and brighten eyes or used under eyeshadow to prolong colour and stop creasing. This product costs $4.99.
This is the product I was least impressed about (only because I'm super jealous of the people that received the Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara) however after trying this I really like it. It is the Mary Kay  Cosmetics Lash Love Mascara. I love the brush on this and have found this is the best type of brush for me to use. I have major problems with my short, sparse lashes but this actually made a diffrence to the appearance of them. It will certainly be getting added to my stash of mascaras I use often. This product costs £16.00.

Next up is a product everyone will have heard of and most probably tried and that is Carmex Lip Balm. I have used this in the past and really liked it, although I am more of a Vaseline girl. This has gone straight in my handbag and is the one I have been reaching for during the day. This costs £2.69.

Last is a product that I really didn't think I would like but actually do. Broadway Nails imPRESS On Manicure. Now I'm not usually a fan of press on nails but when I tried these I was really impressed with how well they stuck and how nice they looked. I am looking forward to wearing these for my girls night out on Friday. Cost of these is £7.99 a pack.

Super impressed with this months box. Good mix of brands and great value for money.
What did you recive in your Glossybox?

So here i am laid bare. No make up, no fake tan, no editing and no filters. Megan from thumbelinalillie has started #ProjectBareAll as a way to get us all to realise we don't need make up to make us feel good about ourselves and how we should embrace the skin we were born in.

My Story

I can't remeber a time when i havn't been into make up. For aslong as i can remember i have been purchasing and wearing make up. In my teen days i even used to pick which magazine i wanted to read based on if they had a free make up product with them. During my secondary school days i would wear make up every day and i was one of those girls that wouldn't even leave the house without my make up on. If i ever had to run to the shops without make up on i would dread bumping into anyone i knew as i just didnt feel comfortable without my make up on.

The Inside

I have never been really confident and i am quite insecure about my appearance, the big change for me however came when i had children. There was no way i could afford that extra half hour in a morning to apply my make up. I was running round making bottles, feeding my baby, changing nappies and doing general household chores and the make up just didn't seem a priority any more like it always had done in the past. I love to apply and wear make up but truth is i just haven't got the time i need to wear it everyday like i used to.

The Outside

I'm lucky that i have always had and still have really great skin, that is one thing i love about myself. I am still nowhere near happy with myself but i am making the small changes needed to hopefully get there. Since reading blogs and starting my own i have really realized there is not two of us the same and also that you will struggle to find anyone who is 100% happy with themselfs. We as women need to support and encourage each other to be ourselves and not hide behind the make up. As they say its what on the inside that counts.

My Summer Make-up

I thought i would just do a short post on my summer make up. I don't wear a lot of make up anyways but in the summer i love to keep it really light.

I start with my base, in the summer i don't always wear foundation it depends on if i feel i need any coverage or not. As mentioned in previous posts, i am blessed with pretty good skin (must be why my nails and hair are awful, suppose you can't have it all!) so 99% of the time in the summer i don't bother with foundation but if i do it is usually Rimmel Match Perfection or Avon Ideal Flawless Liquid Foundation. I normally just powder my face using Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I will then go in with a bronzer on any where the sun would naturally hit. The one i am currently using is by MUA.

I always make sure my brows are done even if i have nothing else on my face. I use a brow pencil to fill in my brows and the apply Benefit Gimme Brow. If i have just had my brows tinted then i will usually just use the Gimme Brow as they look good anyways when they are tinted.

I then just add a slick of mascara either, Benefit They're Real or Soap And Glory Thick And Fast Mascara.

Then for my lips i've been loving the brights lately. I wear a different lipstick pretty much everyday so its hard to pick my favorite. I have been loving the oranges and pinks though.

What is your summer make-up like? Do you keep it light or go all out? Does it change from your normal routine?

Face. I just can't bring myself to try the whole eyes first thing it just seems so strange to me.

Review: Percy & Reed What A Carry On All-Purpose Beauty Bag

I mentioned in my June Favorites that i had placed an order on feel unique. This is the product i had ordered. I first seen this when Amelia Liana on YouTube mentioned it in one of her videos and i knew as soon as i seen it i had to have one. As well as looking good it is so practical too.

It has four separate pockets, one large one at the back, a clear plastic one and then two detachable pockets. One of the detachable pockets is heat resistant so you can store your hair appliances. There is so much space in this bag that its hard to imagine you would ever need any extra space for toiletries/make-up/hair items.

I cannot wait to use this bag when i go away in September and i will be sure to do a whats in my bag post so you can all see how much you can actually fit in it. I have already tried putting most of the things i will take away in and i still had plenty of space left for other things. The only thing i would change about it is making the clear pocket detachable too. This bag cost me £29.00 and i also received a free mini Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray. I purchased mine from Feel Unique but i'm sure you can also buy them from ASOS.

Although some people may think £29.00 is expensive for a beauty bag it is so worth the money and i am super pleased that i went ahead and ordered this, i would definitely recommend it.
