I'm Back and Some Exciting News

I'm back and excited to start blogging again. I'm not going to get into a big long explanation about where I've been and why i haven't been blogging, I'm just going to get straight into my exciting news.

I'M PREGNANT!!!

I am over the moon to be pregnant with my third baby. As i write this i am 21 Weeks and 1 Day pregnant. This pregnancy is also extra special to me as i am finally having a Girl. I could not be happier and when they told us at my scan, i cried my eyes out because i had fully prepared myself for the fact i would be having another Boy! I suffered from Gender Disappointment with my second son when we found out he was a boy and it was awful, i was terrified of it happening again so i hadn't even allowed myself to think it may be a girl. I had even picked a boys name!! I'm not going to write about that here but i will do a post on it in the future.

My official due date is the 7th November but i will likely have her roughly a week before as i am having a planned C Section again. I'm not going to get too much into it as i am going to do either weekly or monthly updates.

It was a shock finding out i was pregnant. I had been feeling slightly strange for a while but with three family deaths within the space of two months i pushed all the thoughts to the back of my mind or found another explanation for my symptoms. Like while i was on holiday i felt sick every morning but i was also suffering from Vertigo at the time so put it down to that. Or the fact i was spotty and had missed a period i put down to the fact i was stressed. When i missed a second period that's when i finally decided to do a test, and it was of course positive. After going to the doctors and then the midwife we worked out i could possibly be 12 weeks pregnant so i was referred for a scan straight away. I had to wait a few weeks and thought i would be around 16 weeks, so it was a shock when at my scan we found out i was 18 weeks and 4 days pregnant.

I have now got rid of all the boys clothes that i had and i am slowly replacing them with lovely pink girlie things!! It is so strange buying girls stuff and i find myself in the shops or browsing online completely confused about what to pick up. In some ways i feel like a first time Mam again! I thought i would be bad with buying stuff when it was a girl but to be honest i have surprised myself and not gone crazy. I have got some second hand stuff off a friend and I've also bought some stuff off Ebay, most of which still had the tags on. They are in them for such a short amount of time when they are younger its just not worth buying all new things.

I am looking forward to decorating the bedrooms. My two boys are going to have to share now which i am feeling massively guilty for at the moment as they have always had their own rooms, but they seem excited so that helps. I am expecting problems for a few weeks at first though as i have one that loves to sleep and one that hates sleep. They also have two completely different personalities and clash massively at times. I am trying to think of ways for them to still feel like they have their own space even though they will be sharing.

Anyways i plan on posting weekly/monthly pregnancy updates, i will also be posting baby related hauls and reviews. I am hoping to also do some more YouTube videos but its difficult to find the time to film around the kids and work. I also NEED to get more organized before this baby arrives so i may have a little blog or YouTube series based around that! I like some parts of the KonMari method so i may base my organization around that but i haven't quite decided yet. I also plan on starting up my beauty posts again too.

Where Have I Been? Update

So I have been very much MIA over the past month or so. A lot has been going on lately and I just haven't had time to do any blogging etc. First off we have been having a lot of problems with the house so we have had workmen coming in and out getting quotes and doing work. Which is still no where near finished! Secondly my almost 3 year old has decided he doesn't need to nap anymore (even though he so does! No nap = mega grumpy child!!) so I'm losing 1-2 hours 'me time' a day, this is the time I usually use to blog.

I have also recently started working for The Body Shop At Home. So I have been putting quite a bit of time into that. Look out for plenty of posts and reviews on the kit and products.

Also I have got myself a job working behind the bar in a social club and I am doing a few shifts a week there. It's so good to be back working after being out of work for far too long!

I am failing massively with Slimming World at the moment, my heads just not in it and my motivation has totally gone! I really want to get back on track though so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have a few posts already wrote up and ready to go and I am going to try and find a schedule that works for me and my new even busier life!

Shrinking Violet At Home Kit Review

Many of you may have already heard of Shrinking Violet. I had heard of their body wrap before but was always put off by having to take time out to go to the salon to have one (not easy with two young boys to run around after!)

Now they are bringing us their at home kits, which is amazing for a busy Mam like me.

Shrinking Violet is a UK based brand although they are recognised internationally. Shrinking Violet are the only brand of its kind to be clinically proven.

In the kit you receive 200ml of solution, the Shrinky Suit, tape measure, measuring cup and record cards so that you can record your inch loss. The solution is an oil based solution which has been tried and tested in a professional environment and the specially made Shrinky Suit enhances the technology.

To perform the treatment all you do is measure out the solution in the measuring cup provided, then rub it into any problem areas and put on the Shrinky Suit. The suit only increases body temperature by 2 degrees making it suitable to wear while exercising. The suit encourages perspiration and helps to rid the body of toxins. You leave the suit on for 1 hour and you will get some immediate results. The solution continues to work for 72 hours and it is recommended to drink at least 1 liter of water a day for 3-4 days after the treatment.

It is recommended for best results to take the 90 day challenge.

Month One - 1 wrap a week
Month Two - 1 wrap every two weeks
Month Three - 1 wrap during the month

I tried the product the day it arrived. I got a total inch loss of 4 Inches. With the biggest loss being 1.5 inches from my waist. It is kind of difficult to measure yourself so this may not be totally accurate. I will get my partner to measure me next time so that it is more accurate. I haven't measured myself since though so do not know if any more came off in the 72 hours after.

I managed to get in a right mess with the oil and ended up getting it everywhere but this is probably due to my clumsiness more than anything. Just be careful when applying it that you don't splash it everywhere like i did. The suit was not at all uncomfortable. I wore mine while chilling in front of the tele. I am going to continue with the 90 day challenge and will be sure to let you know my results.

Shrinking Violet Home Use Kit can be bought from http://www.shrinkingvioletbodywrap.com/ and costs just £99. A bargain when one treatment in the salon costs around £65 and the solution provided in the kit allows you to do 6-8 wraps.

Freedom Pro Decadence Eyeshadow Palette Review And Swatches

I picked up these palettes when i did my Beautycrowd haul. (Post here.) I've had chance to have a play with them so i thought i would review them for you all.

Freedom is created by the same people who make Make Up Revolution. The quality in the shadows is very similar to Make Up Revolution. The pigment is great in most of the shades. There is quite a lot of fall out from some shades and some of the mattes can be quite chalky but for £6.00 each you really can't complain! I find taking a small amount of product and then building the colour up really helps to minimize fallout.

I own three of the palettes and really want to pick up the one i don't have yet. I would highly recommend trying these shadows if you haven't already and i think they would be perfect for someone just starting out in make up.

Below are pictures and swatches of the three palettes i own.

Bottom Row

Todays Tonight

Clubbed To Death

You can see from the swatches how pigmented the shadows are. The shimmers are better quality and more pigmented than the mattes but i find that the case with all the drugstore shadows i have tried.

I hope you have found this review helpful. Have you tried anything from Freedom? What would you recommend to try?

Freedom make up can be bought from freedommakeuplondon.com or beautycrowd.com

What I Ate This Week #2 - Slimming World

I had a 1lb gain last week! I really need to get my head in to gear and stick to the plan from now on. We have just booked a holiday abroad for April next year and i would really like to have lost a total of at least 3 stone by then. I worked out that if i lose 2lb a week between now and when i go on holiday i could lose a total of 4 and a half stone!! That is massive motivation and something i would love to achieve but i know life gets in the way at times and a gain or staying the same is going to happen, so i'm setting 3 stone as a more realistic target and anything over that is a bonus!

I have found it really easy to stick to plan this week as i just seem to have no appetite at all for some reason, i have struggled having my syns due to this though so hoping it doesn't affect my weight loss too much. I've also been quite bad with my water intake the last few weeks so i have started to make sure i always have a 1.5L bottle full of water in the fridge and making sure i drink all of that during the day, along with any other drinks i may have. Also since discovering the Twining's Salted Caramel Green Tea i have rekindled my love of green tea. I have also rejoined the gym this week!

L.A Girl Glazed Lip Paint Review

I picked up three of the L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint shades in my recent beautycrowd.com haul. (Post here

I had heard a lot about these before picking them up so i was really looking forward to giving them a try. I also heard they are a dupe for the Too Faced Melted, although i don't own any of them (yet!) so can't compare the two. I love the colours and really want to pick up a few more. Apologies that the lip swatch pictures aren't the best. I'm still trying to find the best way to photograph them. If any bloggers have any tips please let me know.

 L-R Peony, Hot Mess, Flirt

They are extremely messy to apply! The first time i tried to apply them straight from the tube. It was a total disaster and i ended up with them all over my face! I have found the best way to apply them is using a lip brush, i also use a liner before applying as well to stop it sliding around when it has been applied. You can apply a thin coat for a lighter colour or a thicker coat for a more dramatic colour.

L-R Peony, Hot Mess, Flirt

I find they last a good few hours on the lips. They are very glossy when first applied but i find they dry down to a matte finish after an hour or so but the colour stays on the lips giving you another couple of hours before needing to reapply.

 Peony
 Hot Mess
Flirt

I would recommend giving these a try if you get the chance. These are £4.00 each and available in the UK from beautycrowd.com.

Have you tried any of these? Have you also tried the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks? Do you think they are a dupe? I'm looking to pick a few of the Too Faced ones up so will let you know what i think when i get round to it.
